and Sabin's suggestion of an addition:Art. 6.5.: Specify also in this article who is responsible for guaranteeing the on-going formation of members.
The National Coordination team is responsible for (Unit/Local) ongoing formation execution plans, following the planning and guidance of the GC and the ad hoc Salvatorian Family teams that would collaborate for that purpose as established on the Salvatorian Family Chater.
In my opinion, this is a task of the whole iCDS and that means it is also a main task of the GC in cooperation with the unit coordinators. We should establish a workgroup in addition who supports the GC and the unit coordinators on this topic.
The main targets of "ongoing formation" are (from my point of view):
- deepen your identity as Lay Salvatorian to express the Salvatorian charism and spirituality in a better way
- getting a knowledge of the bigger picture
- get knowing of several aspects and points of views, but not lose the target
- to bring the new findings into a match with the Catholic faith, even if they seem not to match at the first view
- to check old traditions and cherished habits of the faith life for their contemporary purpose, so that the doors not be locked permanently for young people and new ideas.
- learn to get knowledge of how to meet God with the eyes of today.
- get a wide knowledge of relationships and about how important the protection of our environment is - because it's the basis of our life and the biggest gift of God.
- the complexity of our daily life is increasing. Our neighbors, our next are looking maybe on answers and advice, which we could offer. On that, we have to be prepared. Simple answers and meaningless phrases will be not accepted on a longer term.
to become an appreciated contact and person of trust and authenticity - searching and provision of adequate multimedia education material
