Valentine\u2019s Day is celebrated in many countries on February, 14<sup>th<\/sup>. Especially from the Anglican side, this day has become very fashionable and brings good sales to the flower and candy sellers. It is a celebration of \u201clove\u201d, which is expressed through small gifts to our loved ones. Just a commercial celebration or could there be more hidden here?<\/p>\n<p>If you browse through the story, the tradition<a href=\"https:\/\/www.laysalvatorians.org\/update\/2020\/02\/14\/st-valentines-day-a-good-possibility-to-stimulate-the-communication\/#sdfootnote1sym\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> tells of two Valentines and distinguishes and mixes them at the same time. On the one hand, there is a Valentine of Terni and on the other hand a Valentine of Rome. But perhaps it is also one and the same person. Valentine of Rome is said to have married lovers according to the Christian rite as a simple priest, despite the prohibition by Emperor Claudius II, and was executed on February 14, 269. Valentin also gave flowers from his garden to the newly married couples. According to tradition, the marriages he entered into were \u201cunder a good star\u201d. Bishop Valentin of Terni is said to have won over many people to the Christian faith by healing the sick in Rome. This brought him a charge in court and around the year 268 he was martyred by decapitation.<!--more--><\/p>\n<p>So this day follows the eternal dream of mankind for love and happiness. And Valentin gave this dream a concrete expression by giving flowers to people. Flowers and plants with their colors and shapes have always accompanied people and given them many goods for their daily needs. Whether as furnishings in the house and garden, as gifts at celebrations, or even as a last greeting to the dearly departed, they are an indispensable fact of our lives. They bring joy into our everyday life \u2013 and often inspire us to dream.<\/p>\n<p>But it is not just about the plant, it is much more about showing a related person, a relative or friend \u2013 I have not forgotten about YOU. This is an important gesture in communities, where you might slowly but surely lose sight of yourself due to a variety of tasks, busyness or local separation. So this day can be a welcome occasion to reflect on all those who should not be forgotten\u2026<\/p>\n<p>This could also be a stimulus for us Lay Salvatorians to bring on this day the love of God to others by a little present or some flowers. Also, we could take on the opportunity and send a small message to some Lay Salvatorians in other units. A kind hello is often the first step to opening some doors and minds, especially if we do not have the same mother tongue. Especialmente en el \u00e1mbito anglicano, este d\u00eda se ha puesto muy de moda y genera buenas ventas a los vendedores de flores y dulces. Es una celebraci\u00f3n del \u00abamor\u00bb, que se expresa a trav\u00e9s de peque\u00f1os regalos a nuestros seres queridos. \u00bfEs solo una celebraci\u00f3n comercial o podr\u00eda haber algo m\u00e1s oculto aqu\u00ed?<\/p>\n<p>Si lees la historia, la tradici\u00f3n<a href=\"https:\/\/www.laysalvatorians.org\/update\/2020\/02\/14\/st-valentines-day-a-good-possibility-to-stimulate-the-communication\/#sdfootnote1sym\"><sup> (1)<\/sup><\/a> habla de dos Valent\u00edn y los distingue y mezcla al mismo tiempo. Por un lado, est\u00e1 Valent\u00edn de Terni y, por otro, Valent\u00edn de Roma. Pero tal vez se trate de la misma persona. Se dice que Valent\u00edn de Roma cas\u00f3 a parejas de enamorados seg\u00fan el rito cristiano como simple sacerdote, a pesar de la prohibici\u00f3n del emperador Claudio II, y fue ejecutado el 14 de febrero de 269. Valent\u00edn tambi\u00e9n regalaba flores de su jard\u00edn a las parejas de reci\u00e9n casados. Este es un gesto importante en las comunidades, donde es posible que poco a poco te pierdas de vista debido a una variedad de tareas, a estar ocupado o a la separaci\u00f3n local. As\u00ed que este d\u00eda puede ser una ocasi\u00f3n bienvenida para reflexionar sobre todos aquellos que no deben ser olvidados&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Esto tambi\u00e9n podr\u00eda ser un est\u00edmulo para que nosotros, los laicos salvatorianos, llevemos en este d\u00eda el amor de Dios a los dem\u00e1s con un peque\u00f1o regalo o unas flores. Tambi\u00e9n podr\u00edamos aprovechar la oportunidad y enviar un peque\u00f1o mensaje a algunos laicos salvatorianos de otras unidades. Un amable saludo es a menudo el primer paso para abrir algunas puertas y mentes, especialmente si no tenemos la misma lengua materna. Elles apportent de la joie dans notre vie quotidienne et nous inspirent souvent \u00e0 r\u00eaver.<\/p>\n<p>Mais il ne s&#8217;agit pas seulement de la plante, il s&#8217;agit bien plus de montrer \u00e0 une personne li\u00e9e, un parent ou un ami &#8211; je ne t&#8217;ai pas oubli\u00e9. C&#8217;est un geste important dans les communaut\u00e9s, o\u00f9 l&#8217;on peut lentement mais s\u00fbrement se perdre de vue en raison de diverses t\u00e2ches, de l&#8217;activit\u00e9 ou de la s\u00e9paration locale. Ce jour peut donc \u00eatre une occasion bienvenue de r\u00e9fl\u00e9chir \u00e0 tous ceux qui ne doivent pas \u00eatre oubli\u00e9s&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Cela pourrait \u00e9galement \u00eatre un stimulant pour nous, la\u00efcs salvatoriens, d&#8217;apporter en ce jour l&#8217;amour de Dieu aux autres par un petit cadeau ou des fleurs. Nous pourrions \u00e9galement saisir l&#8217;occasion et envoyer un petit message \u00e0 certains la\u00efcs salvatoriens dans d&#8217;autres unit\u00e9s. Un gentil bonjour est souvent la premi\u00e8re \u00e9tape pour ouvrir certaines portes et certains esprits, surtout si nous n&#8217;avons pas la m\u00eame langue maternelle. Der Valentinstag wird in vielen L\u00e4ndern am 14. Februar gefeiert<sup>.<\/sup> Vor allem in der anglikanischen Kirche ist dieser Tag sehr beliebt und beschert Blumen- und S\u00fc\u00dfwarenverk\u00e4ufern gute Ums\u00e4tze. Es ist ein Fest der \u201eLiebe\u201c, die durch kleine Geschenke an unsere Liebsten zum Ausdruck gebracht wird. Nur ein kommerzielles Fest oder steckt hier mehr dahinter?<\/p>\n<p>Wenn man sich die Geschichte ansieht, erz\u00e4hlt die Tradition<a href=\"https:\/\/www.laysalvatorians.org\/update\/2020\/02\/14\/st-valentines-day-a-good-possibility-to-stimulate-the-communication\/#sdfootnote1sym\"><sup>1<\/sup><\/a> von zwei Valentins und unterscheidet und vermischt sie gleichzeitig. Einerseits gibt es einen Valentin von Terni und andererseits einen Valentin von Rom. Aber vielleicht ist es auch ein und dieselbe Person. Valentin von Rom soll als einfacher Priester Liebespaare trotz des Verbots von Kaiser Claudius II. nach christlichem Ritus getraut haben und wurde am 14. Februar 269 hingerichtet. Valentin schenkte den frisch verm\u00e4hlten Paaren auch Blumen aus seinem Garten. Der \u00dcberlieferung nach standen die von ihm geschlossenen Ehen \u201eunter einem guten Stern\u201c. Bischof Valentin von Terni soll durch Krankenheilungen in Rom viele Menschen f\u00fcr den christlichen Glauben gewonnen haben. Dies brachte ihm eine Anklage vor Gericht ein und um das Jahr 268 wurde er durch Enthauptung gemartert.<\/p>\n<p>So folgt dieser Tag dem ewigen Traum der Menschheit von Liebe und Gl\u00fcck. Und Valentin gab diesem Traum einen konkreten Ausdruck, indem er den Menschen Blumen schenkte. Blumen und Pflanzen haben die Menschen mit ihren Farben und Formen schon immer begleitet und ihnen viele G\u00fcter f\u00fcr den t\u00e4glichen Bedarf geschenkt. Ob als Einrichtung in Haus und Garten, als Geschenk bei Festen oder sogar als letzter Gru\u00df an die Verstorbenen, sie sind ein unverzichtbarer Bestandteil unseres Lebens. Sie bringen Freude in unseren Alltag \u2013 und regen uns oft zum Tr\u00e4umen an.<\/p>\n<p>Aber es geht nicht nur um die Pflanze, sondern vielmehr darum, einer verwandten Person, einem Verwandten oder Freund zu zeigen: Ich habe DICH nicht vergessen. Dies ist eine wichtige Geste in Gemeinschaften, in denen man sich aufgrund einer Vielzahl von Aufgaben, Gesch\u00e4ftigkeit oder \u00f6rtlicher Trennung langsam aber sicher selbst aus den Augen verlieren kann. So kann dieser Tag ein willkommener Anlass sein, an all jene zu denken, die nicht vergessen werden sollten&#8230;<\/p>\n<p>Dies k\u00f6nnte auch ein Anreiz f\u00fcr uns Laiensalvatorianer sein, an diesem Tag anderen die Liebe Gottes durch ein kleines Geschenk oder ein paar Blumen zu bringen. Wir k\u00f6nnten auch die Gelegenheit nutzen und eine kleine Nachricht an einige Laiensalvatorianer in anderen Einheiten senden. Ein freundliches Hallo ist oft der erste Schritt, um T\u00fcren und Herzen zu \u00f6ffnen, besonders wenn wir nicht dieselbe Muttersprache haben.
