Francis of the Cross Jordan is a great joy for our members.&nbsp;&nbsp; Lay people were included in the very first vision for the &#8220;big work&#8221; which Fr. Jordan wanted to found because they are daily standing on the \u201cpulpit of the world\u201d.&nbsp;&nbsp; They have good contact with and a good relationship with everyone they live and work with.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Siendo la rama m\u00e1s joven de la Familia Salvatoriana, la beatificaci\u00f3n del P. Francisco de la Cruz Jord\u00e1n es una gran alegr\u00eda para nuestros miembros.&nbsp;&nbsp; Los laicos fueron incluidos en la primera visi\u00f3n de la &#8220;gran plan&#8221; que el P. Jord\u00e1n quer\u00eda fundar, porque ellos est\u00e1n diariamente en el &#8220;p\u00falpito del mundo&#8221;.&nbsp;&nbsp; Tienen un buen contacto y una buena relaci\u00f3n con todas las personas con las que viven y trabajan.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;_____________________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olga<\/strong>: Unfortunately, within the Catholic Church and general society at the time of Fr. Jordan this future-oriented Vision could not be understood. Therefore, he was forced to start with two religious branches first: the priests and brothers of the Society of the Divine Savior and the Sisters of the Divine Savior.&nbsp;&nbsp; The idea to involve lay people in this \u201cbig work\u201d moved more and more into the background. The time was not ready yet.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Desafortunadamente, en la Iglesia Cat\u00f3lica y de la sociedad en general en la \u00e9poca del P. Jord\u00e1n esta visi\u00f3n orientada al futuro no era bien entendida. Por esta raz\u00f3n, se vio forzado a empezar con dos ramas religiosas: los padres y hermanos de la denominada Sociedad del Divino Salvador y las Hermanas del Divino Salvador.&nbsp;&nbsp; La idea de involucrar a los laicos en esta &#8220;gran plan&#8221; pas\u00f3 cada vez m\u00e1s a segundo plano. Aun no era el momento correcto.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>______________________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ken<\/strong>: From the second half of the 1960s the third branch woke slowly up, step by step, in several countries: the USA, Brazil, Austria, Colombia, Belgium, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp; Lay people, seen at first only as \u201csupporters\u201d by the established two religious branches, developed little by little into an international community who recognized their own specific Salvatorian vocation.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>A partir de la segunda mitad de los a\u00f1os 60, la tercera rama despert\u00f3 lentamente, poco a poco, en varios pa\u00edses: Estados Unidos, Brasil, Austria, Colombia, B\u00e9lgica, etc.&nbsp;&nbsp; Los laicos, vistos al principio s\u00f3lo como &#8220;sostenedores &#8221; por las dos ramas religiosas establecidas, se convirtieron poco a poco en una comunidad internacional que reconoc\u00eda su propia vocaci\u00f3n Salvatoriana espec\u00edfica.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Rita<\/strong>: Supported by far-sighted Generalates of the two religious Salvatorian branches, the laity organized international assemblies. Commissions and workgroups compiled several documents and writings which focused on the original visions and plans of Fr. Francis Jordan. The founding members of these first international meetings quickly realized that this was not just a loose association, such as parishioners, employees in schools and\/or hospitals, or other institutions of the two religious Salvatorian branches. This new organization as an international community would require its members to have their own vocation and commitment. &nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Apoyados por los Generalatos con visi\u00f3n de futuro de las dos ramas religiosas salvatorianas, los laicos organizaron asambleas internacionales. Comisiones y grupos de trabajo recopilaron varios documentos y escritos que se centraron en las visiones y planes originales del P. Francisco Jord\u00e1n. Los miembros fundadores de estas primeras reuniones internacionales se dieron cuenta r\u00e1pidamente de que no se trataba de una simple asociaci\u00f3n informal, como los feligreses, los empleados de las escuelas y\/u hospitales, u otras instituciones de las dos ramas religiosas salvatorianas. Esta nueva organizaci\u00f3n como comunidad internacional requerir\u00eda que sus miembros tuvieran su propia vocaci\u00f3n y compromiso. &nbsp;___________________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Sabin<\/strong>: The lay branch started to work on common statutes to become recognized as an Association of the Faithful by the Vatican Dicastery for Laity, Family, and Life. By a resolution of the General Assembly of 2012, this organization has the name \u201cInternational Community of the Divine Savior\u201d and the members bear the name \u201cLay Salvatorians\u201d.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>La rama laica comenz\u00f3 a trabajar en unos estatutos comunes para ser reconocida como Asociaci\u00f3n de Fieles por el Dicasterio Vaticano para los Laicos, la Familia y la Vida. Por resoluci\u00f3n de la Asamblea General de 2012, esta organizaci\u00f3n tiene el nombre de &#8220;Comunidad Internacional del Divino Salvador&#8221;- ICDS &#8211; y los miembros llevan el nombre de &#8220;Laicos Salvatorianos&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;____________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Ken<\/strong>: The vision of Fr. Francis Jordan is very present in the life and actions of these Lay Salvatorians. When they are at home, at their workplace, or any other activity, they radiate into their surroundings. They change with the signs of the times based on the needs of the world today and strive to teach the goodness and kindness of the Savior by all ways and means which the love of God inspires.<\/p>\n<p>La visi\u00f3n del P. Francisco Jord\u00e1n est\u00e1 muy presente en la vida y las acciones de estos Salvatorianos Laicos. Cuando est\u00e1n en su casa, en su lugar de trabajo o en cualquier otra actividad, irradian en su entorno. Cambian con los signos de los tiempos en base a las necesidades del mundo actual y se esfuerzan por ense\u00f1ar la bondad y la amabilidad del Salvador por todos los medios que el amor de Dios inspira. &nbsp;____________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Olga<\/strong>: The range of involvement is wide, whether it is about social standards, medical care, education, or the protection of the environment and thus the preservation of creation. The protection of the life willed by God and with that, the recognition of God and Jesus Christ is at the center of all Salvatorian efforts.<\/p>\n<p>Los campos de acci\u00f3n son muchos: se debe trabajar en a promoci\u00f3n social, la salud, la educaci\u00f3n y la protecci\u00f3n del medio ambiente cuidando a vida creada por Dios; es as\u00ed como el reconocimiento de Dios y de Jesucristo, est\u00e1 en el centro de los esfuerzos de los Salvatorianos.&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>_____________________________________________________________________________&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><strong>Christian<\/strong>: As Lay Salvatorians, we are proud to participate in the great work of Fr. Francis Jordan in our own way, with our own vocation. Thus, we are filled with great joy for the Church&#8217;s beatification of our founder.
