This quiet day invites us to pause and reflect on the meaning of Jesus’ way of life and faithful love for God and people until death.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

From death to new life<\/b><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There was death when people hurt each other<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

with words or with silence,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but new life came,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when one asked the other for forgiveness,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when one gave another a chance …<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There was death when people lost sight of each other<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and therefore thought that they meant nothing to each other,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but new life came,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when one went back to the other,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and the other was fully open to it.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There was death when people were wronged<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

through laws and structures like a maze,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

who demands the right of the strongest,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but new life came,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when one asked the other to form a group<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and to oppose injustice together.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

There was death when Jesus chose love,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and went to the limit,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

but new life came,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

when people understood what Jesus meant<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and the Spirit gave strength enough<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to bring new life everywhere.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
