Jesus himself washes the feet of his disciples and invites us to humble service to our fellowmen:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“When I, your Lord and your master, have washed your feet, you should also wash each other’s feet. <\/i><\/span><\/span>I have set an example; what I have done for you, you should also do” (John 13, 14-15).<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

We feel the same as the apostles<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

who could sit as friends at the table with Jesus for the last time.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We want to come together because it was Jesus’ last will.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Because Jesus asked<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

as a mother on her deathbed asks her children:<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

“Promise me you’ll keep coming together,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

even when I’m gone. “<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Even though we can’t get together today<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

we feel a strong connection,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

to reminisce and make plans for the future.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We bring glory to God<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in connection with the whole world<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

When the bread was shared,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

the disciples went with Jesus to the Gethsemane<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

Jesus went to pray<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

and he asked his friends to watch and pray.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

They fell asleep up to three times<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We want to make it quiet and dark<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

we want to watch and pray with Jesus tonight,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

we want to watch and pray in the face of suffering<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in our own world and in our own life,<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

in suffering in the big world.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

We want to watch and pray<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

because we know that God listens to us<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

for his love is greater than we can imagine.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n
