Dear Salvatorian,
With this letter we send you the final version of the Charter of the Salvatorian Family, approved by the three branches of our Family in the general chapters/ international assembly held in October, 2012.
If you remember, a provisional draft was approved in 2007. A review of that draft in preparation for this final approval produced two small changes: always using “Blessed Mary of the Apostles” and changing the title to chapter three.
We quote from the letter that was sent with the provisional draft in 2007: As Salvatorians we have always recognized “universality” as an important aspect of our charism. In a world of so much division and conflict, our ability to be united despite our many differences is a sorely needed witness to the world. We invite each Salvatorian to work to build up the Family, especially in places where all three branches do not yet exist. Hopefully, this charter will be a helpful tool to do so.
May God bless us as we continue to strive “that all may know the Savior”!
Sincerely in the Divine Savior,
Mrs. Judy Davis - President of the International Community of the Divine Savior
Sr. Therezinha Joana Rasera – Superior General, Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Savior
Fr. Andrew Urbański - General Superior, Society of the Divine Savior
